   This fun and friendly outdoor class takes place looking at the river under the shade of the oak trees in Ryckman Park.  Very beginner friendly,  there's no experience required to join at any time.  Classes are progressive so for the best learning and understanding, it's recommended to attend as many sessions as possible. But you are welcome to just drop-in when it works for you too. 

   Tai Chi 1 & 2 are both super gentle and healing for joints while imparting a sense of calm and peace.  This tai chi routine is based on Sun Style and puts a lot of emphasis on breathing better. Just by practicing this style of tai chi, we start to breath better and reap benefits from this.  Each session includes warm-ups, flow of Tai Chi 1 & 2, then the specific details of the "new move" are reviewed and repeated so participants can learn and remember this tai chi routine to cultivate their own "at-home" practice. We'd love to have you join us at these beautiful and neighborly sessions!   If it rains, we meet under the gazebo/pavilion.  It's always your option not to come if you don't like the weather.  But rest assured, classes will take place unless there's a hurricane or otherwise notified. 

These classes are FREE, courtesy of the Town of Melbourne Beach. If you enjoy the sessions, tell the town managers "thank you" for hosting and paying the instructor.    These lessons are also available as Online Courses HERE.  Many who attend these sessions choose to become VIDEO MEMBERS to have video references through the  online courses in the library and to gratefully give back a little for what they receive here. ☯️

   This session is preceded by a 9:30-10:20 Qigong session.  You are welcome to one or both. If this is new to you, maybe try them both different weeks and see what you think.  Qigong has many benefits and can be thought of as the predecessor or "mother" of tai chi.  Some people who had never heard of qigong before have found that they enjoy it more than tai chi.  Find out for yourself.
