Sobre o evento
Potluck picnic with gentle Push Hands in Gleason Park after the Sun 73 Tai Chi class. Bring light lunch to snack & share while we explore gentle 2-person tai chi. After learning solo tai chi routines, many benefits can be gained by playing with 2-person Push Hands. It's said that through practicing solo tai chi routines we know ourselves better and by then practicing Push Hands we learn how to interact appropriately with others.
This is NOT competitive or aggressive Push Hands!! We will not be pushing and pulling but rather feeling into flowing with another's energy by lightly touching hands and wrists at a slight distance while moving, like in the photo. If you have an aversion to touch, this may be an uncomfortable event for you. But that doesn't mean you should necessarily avoid Push Hands. Often it is the thing that makes us uncomfortable that challenges us…
